Arjo in a leading position on dementia certified products

With more products certified specifically to meet the unique demands of dementia care than any other manufacturer1, Arjo is in a leading position to help care providers address the challenges. A position made even stronger thanks to two new additions to the lineup.

Arjo has over the years built both experience and expertise in dementia care with dementia-certified products, webinars and knowledge sharing with customers. These products include Carendo®, Sara® Flex, Sara® Stedy and Evenda®, which were all designed with dementia care in mind and have received the esteemed dementia certification DSDC*.

Now, Arjo has received DSDC certification for another two products: the Carino shower chair and the Carevo shower trolley. In the evaluation by the certifying entity, the Arjo Comfort Collection** was also acknowledged to have a positive impact when used together with Carino and Carevo.

Addressing the needs in dementia care

It is estimated that 60-80% of residents in long-term care facilities suffer from dementia or other cognitive impairment2,3,4, making caring for the vast majority of LTC residents a challenging, 24-hour task. Using dementia-certified products from Arjo assists caregivers in delivering person-centered care, with features that help minimize the risk of agitated behavior, promoting the wellbeing of both patients and residents.
